Dr. Paul Wallace has overseen the operations of Wallace of Beverly Hills since 1993. A native of Los Angeles, he has served as a ringside physician for the past 14 years. Currently he serves as Chairman of the World Boxing Council, the Association of Boxing Commissions and the California State Athletic Commission's Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. Wallace graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley followed by attending Harvard Medical School. He received a Master's in Public Health Administration from the University of Missouri; He completed his graduate training and Fellowship in Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery at the Charles Drew/Martin Luther King Medical Center in Los Angeles.
His international experience includes leading a medical team to The Gambia, West Africa to create a re-hydration program to combat infant mortality. As a member of the United States Army, Dr. Wallace distinguished himself through outstanding performance a Field Medical Officer and Infectious Disease Officer. While performing research on malaria he served with the field team from the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). His participation in the African Republic of Kenya (along with centers in Panama, Thailand and Korea) led to the creation of a new generation of proposed vaccines for malaria.
Dr. Wallace is on staff at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Wound Care Clinic. He has lectured and trained surgeons on wound care and cosmetic procedures in Mainland China, Hong Kong, West and East Africa, South America and throughout the United States. He specializes in cutting edge procedures and utilizes a wide array of techniques to address medical, surgical and cosmetic problems.
Dr. Wallace serves as a consultant and technical advisor to Paramount, Disney, Universal, DreamWorks, Warner Bros and Sony movie studios on skin and make-up design.
He is currently the Chairman of the World Boxing Council Medical Advisory Board, Chairman of the California State Athletic Commission's Medical Advisory Committee and is Vice-President and Board member of the American Association of Professional Ringside Physicians. He serves on the USA Boxing (amateur-Olympic development) medical staff and is the former two-term Chairman of the Association of Boxing Commissions, medical advisory Board.
