Friday, September 18, 2020: Thailand’s Samingdet Nor Anuwatgym is the new WBC MuayThai super-featherweight champion of the world after defeating his compatriot, Dechsakda Sor-Jor Tongprajin, on tonight’s Petchyindee promotion at Rangsit Stadium, in Thailand.

The current Rajadamnern Stadium champion added the coveted WBC world title to his growing cabinet of elite MuayThai accolades behind a sensational performance to outthink, outsmart and ultimately outgun Dechsaka — winning the contest via a brutal 3rd round knockout victory.

Samingdet started the contest brighter, landing his aesthetically pleasing signature left body kick in the first round with ease, behind a solid defensive mindset, that was enough to seal the opening round 10-9 on all three judges' score cards.

He turned on the style in the second round with authoritative positioning, and near perfect timing and finesse in offensive execution to seal the second round, again 10-9 on all three judges cards.

The third round was the beginning of the end for Dechsakda as the hunter — Samingdet — caught his prey with a ferocious elbow that sent the PK Saenchai gym based fighter to the canvas to the point of return.

On behalf of WBC MuayThai President, Pol. General Kovid Bhakdibhumi, and the entire team at the WBC, we would like to congratulate Samingdet on becoming WBC MuayThai super-featherweight world champion.
