Thailand's "wizard of the ring" Anuwat used all his master weapons to defend his WBC Featherweight World Title against gallant challenger Singthongnoi at Rajadamnern stadium on 8 March.
Anuwat's thrilling win was part of a championship supercard staged by the government and generals for the peace and goodwill of southern Thailand.
The reigning WBC champion superstar had to dig deep into his abundant well of fighting skills to win the contest. The fight was locked even until the fourth round when Anuwat landed a hard punch that staggered the brave Singthongnoi, who stayed upright without any knockdown count.
Anuwat is one of the most popular Muaythai fighters in the kingdom and the thousands of fight fans who thronged to Rajadamnern voted the Anuwat-Singthongnoi as the "champion of champion fight" on the championship card that was televised live throughout Thailand.
In a second WBC contest Holland's new sensation Ricardo Van de Boss KO'd Jarhard ?lan with a classic head high roundhouse kick. The magnificient KO was delivered one minute and 15 second into the first round.
Ricardo van de Boss (Holland) - with a 26-18 record - was scheduled to defend his WBC International Heavyweight Title against Goran Vidakovic (Germany). Vidakovic withdrew from the contest.
