March 14, 2020: Ireland’s Ryan Sheehan was crowned the new WBC MuayThai International super-bantamweight champion on last Sunday night’s Capital1 event in Dublin city when he defeated a heavily favored Klairung Sasiprapa, from Thailand.

The Siam Warriors gym fighter scored a sensational second round KO victory, to send the home crowd into a frenzy of celebration, as Ireland crowned its latest WBC MuayThai champion.

Thailand’s Klairung was a heavy favorite going into the championship encounter, but Sheehan had other plans as in the midst of a heated second stanza he landed a perfectly-timed left hook to the jaw of his opponent — sending him crashing to the canvas to the point of no return.

Thankfully, Klairung made a speedy recovery and with that, Sheehan had his hand raised to claim the International WBC MuayThai honors.

The WBC MuayThai would like to congratulate Ryan and his team at Corks Siam Warriors gym on their night of WBC MuayThai acclaim.
