ASAHI WINS BIG IN JAPAN

11 Feb 2020

Japan’s Asahi PK Saenchai is the new WBC MuayThai super-bantamweight champion of the World after he conquered Thailand’s heavily favored Singudon Autudon on the BOM MuayThai promotion in Tokyo, Japan.

The contest took place on Sunday the 9th of February in front of a packed out arena. The classy Japanese MuayThai fighter introduced himself to the global stage with a ruthless performance to stop his Thai opponent in the midst of the second round of their championship encounter.

From the opening bell in the first stanza, Asahi went to work with barrage after barrage of kicks to lead and back legs of Singudon. This strategy worked to a treat as during the heat of battle — in round two — Singudon was forced to the canvas, to the point of no return, forcing the referee to call a halt to the contest.

On behalf of the entire team at the WBC MuayThai, we would like to congratulate Asahi and his team on their night of WBC glory.
