Belgium?s Thalya Culot made the MuayThai history books on January 26 when she became the first-ever WBC MuayThai Youth (under-16) champion of the world.

The Brussels based young athlete faced off against Ireland?s Alisha Hiu in what was billed as a clash of two of the top young MuayThai athletes. The contest took place on a MuayThai Gala in Brussels.

The fight itself was an extremely close-fought encounter with both young aspiring athletes leaving everything inside the squared circle. It was to be Thalya?s night as when the final bell sounded and the judges scores were read aloud, her hand was raised in victory.

The entire team at the WBC MuayThai would like to congratulate Thalya and her team on their night of unforgettable success. We wish Thalya the very best for her bright future in the sport of MuayThai.
