In a closely contested championship staged in Japan Decken gradually gained the ascendancy. Both fighters exchanged kicks and punches and tested each other with some tight grappling.
In the fourth round Decken showed aggression with body kicks to pressure Kenta who could not close his opponent’s winning gap in the final round.
Towards the end of the contest an elbow strike by Decken cut Kenta’s left eyelid.
