Miyakoshi brothers make history
The Miyakochi brothers created history when they both won WBC Muaythai International championships on the same event at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, on 11 November.
In the Super Welterweight Championship Soichiro Miyakochi?WBC ranked #15) overpowered French challenger Adyl Khodja (WBC ranked #1)
Khodja attempted to counter Soichiro kicks but could not counter the sustained leg kicks produced by the strong Japanese fighter.
The judges unanimously scored in favor of Soichiro Miyakochi 49?47?50?47?50?47.
On the same event Keijiro Miyakoshi (WBC ranked #15) won the WBC International Lightweight Championship against Spain challenger Pau Illan (WBC ranked #16).
In the first two rounds both fighters exchanged kicks and punches with strong grabbling. But towards the end of the third round Keijiro scored a KO with a strong right hook punch to win the title,
Teyon won the WBC Japan National Super Light Weight Title Fight with a stunning left hook punch that KO?d challenger Hachimaki.
The KO in the fourth round was Teyon?s first title defence.
The first three rounds were evenly fought with Hachimaki using kicks to keep the hard punching Teyon away. But eventually Hackimaki caught Teyon to score a stunning win.
