Yodsaenklai Fairtex soars to international fame after winning the famous WBC green belt

Yodsanklai Fairtex, the first WBC MUAYTHAI world champion, heads a list of Thai boxing stars fighting in the inaugural SportAccord Combat Games from 27 August ? 4 September in Beijing, China.
Muay Thai is one of the 13 marital arts disciplines officially selected for the combat games that also include China?s national martial art Wushu, Kickboxing, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Kendo, Sumo, Aikido, Wrestling, Sambo and Boxing.
Yodsanklai will reportedly fight in the 71 kg (156 lb) Muay Thai division. Should he win the gold medal, as expected, he will receive $31, 289 prize money. Silver winners take home $15,644 and bronze pick up $6,257.
The Thailand team will be led by head coach Surat Sianglor.
