Cyril Bonye the new WBC World Super Heavyweight Champion

Cameroon fireball Cyril Bonye won the crowd and the WBC MUAYTHAI World Super Heavyweight Championship at a packed Pattaya Stadium on 5 December.

After two intense and even rounds Boyne stunned the French contender Sebastian Favre with a third round barrage of repetitious body kicks that ended with a sensational elbow strike, which opened a deep cut near to Favre?s eye.

The fight was stopped by the referee on advise from the attending ringside medical practitioner.

The WBC Super Heavyweight title was preluded by a showdown between top French boxers and their Thai rivals, to be broadcast on French and European television.

The world title triumph extends Bonye?s Muay Thai record to 40 wins and 5 loses.
