Hunt wins for fans in Malta

Marlon Hunt won the WBC world Muaythai showdown cruiserweight championship in front of his home fans in Malta after outpointing tough Estonia challenger Andreij Manzolo.

The event was staged by European Muaythai promotions Smash creating history as the first WBC Muaythai championship to be held in Malta being staged at the Oracle conference centre in St. Paul's Bay.

Marlon Hunt (Malta) and Andreij Manzolo (Estonia) waged an explosive display of Muaythai attacks to WBC rules and regulations over five exciting rounds of non-stop action.

Hunt recovered from a heavy facial blow in the 2nd round to win the championship on points in front of wildly enthusiastic fans who thronged the arena to witness Malta?s first WBC Muaythai greenbelt title.
