WBC Muaythai action in Hongkong
Two WBC International Challenge lightweight championships took place in the HITEC Centre in Hongkong on 29 March.
Australian Reinhard Badato was beaten by Hong Kong rising star Bryan To when the fight was stopped at the 2.58 minutes mark of the first round, after Badato suffered a deep head cut.
In the other WBC ?challenge? contest Kenneth Lee (Hong Kong) and Yukiya Nakamura (Japan) fought an exciting points score draw.
WBC country versus country challenge championships are for talented fighters who don?t qualify for official WBC International and World championships.
On the same event Jeferson Pumphanmuang from Brazil won the 57 kg Muay Thai tournament and Seyedisa Alamdarnezam (Iran) was the winner of the 70 kg fixture after Kem Sitsongpeenong (Thailand) lost by KO in the semi final round against Victor Nagbe (Australia).
The promoter of the Hongkong event was Tsoi Tuing-Hiu.
