Sakkedao honored after defending his WBC green belt title in USA

Bangkok?s top gun Muay Thai combatant Sakkedao Petchpayathai successfully defended his WBC Super Lightweight World Title defence with a stunning fourth round TKO decision against Japan?s Tetsuya Yamato in Highland, California, on May 16.

Sakkedao is one of an elite group of superstars who regularly fights in main events at Bangkok?s Lumpinee stadium.

For three round Tutsuya pushed Sakkedao, but the championship ended dramatically in the fourth round when Sakkedao landed an elbow strike that finished the contest.

Thai Consul-General in Los Angeles Jesada Katavetin and other distinguished VIP?s honored Sakkedao?s WBC green belt defence in the ring at the conclusion of the world championship.

The event featured four Muaythai fighters from Thailand - Sakkedao Petchpayathai, Jomhod Sagami, Tanongdej Petchpayathai and Superball Lukchaomaesalwaree ? who competed for the trophy prize for the teams representing Thailand against the World. Thailand won all four contests.
