Lamsongkram fights Ofeyo in Bishkek For Interim Middleweight World title

Thailand's world famous Muaythai star Lamsongkran will take on the top CIS (former Soviet Union) champion Alen Ofeyo for the WBC MUAYTHAI Interim World Middleweight Title on June 3.

The event will be staged in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan which borders Kazakhstan.

The winner of the Interim World Championship will challenge Britain's Steve Wakeling for the undisputed title. Wakeling defeated Australia's John Wayne Parr on points in London to take the world title.

Lamsongkram is a seasoned fighter from Bangkok's Rajadamnern stadium and is the current S1 title holder.

Ofeyo shored up his top ranking status with some outstanding victories in the Central Asia countries, which comprise the countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The referee for the championship contest will be Thailand's Anek Hongtongkam
