Jomthong KO win at Lumpinee a step towards winning world Muaythai and world boxing titles

Jomthong Chuwattana is the WBC MUAYTHAI World Lightweight champion and the current WBC Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation title holder.

At Lumpinee Stadium on Tuesday night against Thongchai Sitthongsak in a Muay Thai showdown Jomthong convincingly won the contest by KO with powerful punches.

The knockout came quickly in the third round after Jomthong's threw a combination of heavy punches.

With his best years ahead of him Jomthong at 23 years of age has plenty of time to fulfill his ambition to become the first WBC MUAYTHAI world champion to jointly hold a WBC world boxing title.

On the same event SAM-A beat rival Thong Pouydeenaidee.

Both fighters have been among the best at Lumpinee for the past two years and there was great expectation that the showndown would be a classic encounter - and it was with SAM-A Kaiyang 5 DA raised the bar in he fourth round to take lead and stay in control.
