Chaz Mulkey new Muay Thai sensation in Last Vegas

America's Muaythai sensation Chaz Mulkey has won the WBC MUAYTHAI International Middleweight championship in Las Vegas.

The win over the UK Leeds warrior Simon Chu delivered Mulkey a perfect fight record of 5-0 for 2011.

Mulkey impressed getting an unanimous points victory to take the WBC title at the Lion Fight Promotions "Battle in the Desert 4" staged in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The title contest was aggressive throughout the five rounds with Mulkey taking control early with his strong aggression forcing Chu to counter defensively. Mulkey sustained his attacks - and kept scoring - with solid kicks and punches.

In the grappling quarters Chu was caught with some aggressive elbows. To his credit Chu never stopped trying and did cut Mulkey's head, but he was unable to score sufficient points to win.

In the night's co-main event Coke Chunhawat scored a majority points win over Rami Ibrahim to take USA WBC Lightweight title.

Coke was knocked down controversially but recovered to win the last two rounds.
