Caverley wins wbc female green belt

Australian champion Tiana Caverly has won the WBC World Female Batamweight Championship against Japan's Ayano Oishi in Battle Collassal 12 in Perth on November 5.

In a close contest that saw Ayano aggressively advancing forward, Cavery used her experience and reach with long range body kicks and push kicks to keep her opponent at bay.

Cavery finished the stronger despite the Japanese challenger never stopping coming forward in a desperate attempt to score a KO.

In the Super Lightweight "Catchweight War" former lightweight national champion Oley Sakonpetch scored a flawless victory over welterweight national champion Mark Sarracino.

The WBC Muaythai Middleweight WA State title saw Jamie Lunghitano beat Jon Dowding in a close hard fought battle of attrition.
