While Steve Wakeling is king of the middleweight division Germany's Timo Bonfiglio has given notice to the pack of fighter's coveting Wakeling's crown that he is not far off the pace for a title shot.

Timo powered over Kristian Klingenberg in a stunning TKO in the third round falling down to a hard knee strke. The referee stoped the WBC International Middleweight championship when - after a seven count - Klingenberg could not continue.
Although Bonfiglio won the first round, Klingenberg came back strong in the second. The end came suddenly when Bongiglio landed a hard knee that look the fight away from from a brave Klingenberg.
This was the first WBC event in Denmark and, with a Light Heavyweight WBC Muaythai world championship between Denmark's Bassam Chahrour and Britain's Gavin Sterritt scheduled for 2 September in Denmark, the Danes who support Muaythai will find a lot of cheer.
