Saenchai the first winner of a WBC MUAYTHAI Diamond Belt

Saenchai Sinbi beat USA's top contender Kevin Ross for first WBC MUAYTHAI Diamond Belt and the Stand Up Promotions M1 Grand U.S. Muay Thai Championship, the event being held in honor of Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand.

It was a closer than expected contest with the Thai champion Saenchai fully stretched to record the unaminous decision 48-46, 47-47 and 48-46.

Ross came out aggressively for the first two rounds with Saenchai deflecting his opponent's attacks while staying in charge. The third round was entertaining with Saenchai challenged for control by the home favourite and passionate contender Ross who landed a cartwheel kick at the bell. The final two rounds were courageous for Ross who never gave in but came up a little short on the final score cards.
