Steve Wakeling, the pride of British Muaythai, will be all out to win back a WBC MUAYTHAI world title against Thailand?s reigning supermiddleweight champion Jaowchalam Chatkranokgym (Thailand) in Pattaya Saturday night 8 January.

Wakeling shot to star rating when he defeated Australia?s John Wayne Parr for the Middleweight World Championship in London. But he lost his title in a defence against the Thai ?top gun? Lamsongkram.

Now Wakeling is back bigger and stronger than ever.

?I had a break and then was able to look objectively at what I wanted ?and getting back the WBC green and gold belt was on the top of the list.?

Fighting another division higher will give Wakeling more power that will be mixed with his piercing elbow weapons ? regarded as the best in Muaythai anywhere.

Wakeling has been training for months in Thailand building up his strength for the title shot. He had a warm-up comeback fight at Lumpinee Stadium.

?I?m as ready as I could be. My body feels strong and mentally I am ready to go and take back the green WBC belt to Britain.?

The championship promotion by The Champions Club Thailand will be raise funds for the Pattaya Orphanage and will take place at the Tip Plaza Complex in Central Pattaya.
