Born For The Fight is the most successful Muaythai documentary. Broadcast worldwide on National Geographic it was filmed over six months during 1992 at locations that included Lumpinee stadium, the Sidthyonthong training camp of the famed fighter Samart Parakuan, as well as at the Pramote training camp of legend Muaythai champion Namkabuan in Nongkee, northern Thailand .

The documentary focused on the career of Namkabuan when he was at his peak and filmed the champion's famous draw against elbow weapon master Therdkiat. Inside the packed arena Namkabuan sustained a crucial cut near to his eye in the third round but fought back brilliantly to save his title.

The documentary, directed and co-produced by Jon Mathews and Pru Colville, followed the career of the then 14-year-old Saenlian in Pattaya and the young talented seven-year-old Oran from Bulliram.

Born For The Fight also features interviewed with Hardy Stockman.

The documentary premiered on SBS TV in Australia where it was co-distributed with the famous Thai action movie Ongbach.
