OUHANINI SETS UP A WORLD TITLE SHOT WITH IMPRESSIVE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN IN GERMANY

18 May 2009

Europe's silky skilled Muaythai sensation Youssef Ouhanini claimed the WBC Muaythai Super Middleweight title with an impressive win in Germany on 9 May.
He delighted a packed crowd clearly outclassing high ranked Otto Merling who was forced to counter while defending a cut over his eye.
Ouhanini impressed with his combo attacking style of boxing strikes, kicks and elbow technique. Merling gave a courageous performance but could not match the all round Muaythai talent of Ouhanini who showed his fairness and sportsmanship for a keenly fought contest.
All three judges awarded the contest to Ouhanini on points, and he is now the mandatory contender for the world title to be staged in Germany later this year.

On the same card Harry Lodewijks beat Ismail Altintas with a unanimous points decision to take out the German WBC Muaythai national title in the 69kg division. The contest was clean, fair and very hard. Lodewijks is booked to fight on the next Mowla Fight Promotion with his eyes on an International WBC Title.
The Mowla Fight Promotion event was broadcast by PDF Channel Germany and Antene West Channel Germany. The show highlights and live music provided a sensational atmosphere for the full crowd of spectators and VIP's in attendance.
